Only by faith.

There is one way to heaven. One way, and only one way. Let us not confuse this.

God demands perfection in order to reside with Him in heaven. Note Psalm 5:4; Revelation 21:27.

No one is perfect. That's the truth. The Bible tells us this too, in fact. Note Romans 3:23; Ecclesiastes 7:20.

So, because God lives in perfection, and we cannot get there on our own due to our sin, God provided His Son, Jesus Christ, as the way for us to be reconciled to Him. Note Romans 5:8; John 3:16; 2 Corinthians 5:21.

Man's responsibility is to believe in Christ, and that is the only thing that can save him. Faith is the only way man can be saved. Note John 3:36; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 4:5; Romans 5:1; Galatians 2:16.

There are many more places in Scripture where this same thing is repeated. It's by FAITH. That's the truth.

God guarantees something to the one who believes in Christ--eternal life. Note 1 John 5:13.

I write this blog for two reasons:

1. For anyone who has never placed their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior, the One who took their punishment for sin on Himself, then I urge you to trust (which is what believe means) in Christ to save you!

2. For any believer who is struggling with whether or not faith alone saves you, I encourage you to explore what the Bible says about this topic. It's extremely clear from Scripture how to be saved--faith in Christ.
